ISDAAN - ENCHANTED PLACE AND NICE FOOD

Treat yourself into a place where you can enjoy with the various native especially prepared food. It is an enchanted place that I've been, one of my memorable experience that I cannot forget. At first, I can only see this place in T.V. until I finally experienced the fun and excitement what the people is talking about. It is only a short drive from my hometown Lingayen passing to Dagupan City going to Tarlac. A two-hour drive going to this place. A place simply called "ISDAAN" a Gerona's pride, the home of " Kabalen."

You'll be amaze as you enter the place, the entrance was so amazing, it has big sculptures, great view for picture taking. It has also a hanging bridge as you go along to their "KUBO-KUBO". There were also a lot of hanging fish sculptures. Huge group of monkey sculpture is one of their main attraction. "TACSIYAPO" a very well known area in Gerona is also located here in Isdaan. The stress reliever of kabalens.

This "ISDAAN" is a restaurant that has a lot of gigs. As you order and while waiting for your food to serve, group of singers will come to your "KUBO-KUBO" and serenade you with folksong, in addition to that they also have games for their costumers who can pass the bridge while carrying two pails of water, a reward of 2 kilos of tilapia fish will be given to costumers who will successfully pass the bridge without falling into the water. Boy.....It's a non-stop developing area because I've heard that they have plan for an extension for the costumers. You'll surely enjoy the place and keep on coming back. I myself have experienced two comeback. My first visit was with my friends, when I told my wife about my experience and what I saw, my wife became interested, so we went for a date and decided to celebrate there her b-day. It was again a nice experience - hope you can experience it too.......Hope you'll like it....Have fun!!!

Gag at My Blog

Judy visited his grandfather who had a very small place. There was no place for her to sleep in except beside his grandfather. One evening, in the middle of the night, his grandfather suddenly woke up and said, "I wish I had a woman." It woke up Judy, who remained silent for a few seconds before she said, "Lolo, I don't know what you have in mind but what you have in your hand is mine."

Are you a responsible traveler?

Beside fiesta, Northern Luzon is also pack with beautiful places and friendly people. Many of these are already well known to local and foreign tourists alike, such as the Rice terraces in Banaue and Hundred Islands in Pangasinan. However, there are also those that are little known, tucked away but which are equally beautiful.
And as tourists, remember the following travel pointers courtesy of Travel and Beyond.
1. Do research. Find out more about the customs and culture of the people in the places you are about to visit, as it would do much to enhance the experience. To do this, make a quick visit to your local Internet shop or browse through brochures found in travel agencies or in hotel front desks. Keep in mind that costly misunderstandings may easily be avoided through research.
2. Engage the locals. Try to know more about the place you are to visit Engage the locals in a discourse. Who knows, you could even charm them into disclosing that generations old recipe of their favorite dish.
3. Visitors are simply that: visitors. The locals are the ones who have to live in the place all year round, so don't abuse their hospitality. Respect the environment and the cultures of people living in the place. Do your share in keeping the place clean and habitable. The Filipino is indeed an endearing race.
4. Talk about your experiences. Share wonderful anecdotes of your travels with your loved once, friends and business associates both in the Philippines and abroad. Hopefully, this may further encourage them to visit these places themselves. And don't forget to also bring home some pasalubong or local souvenirs to help you remember the place by.
5. Preserving nature is a big help to locals. Take nothing but pictures, and choose only souvenirs that do not come from irreplaceable natural resources like limestone rocks from caves. This will somehow deter unscrupulous locals from destroying our natural resources just to earn a few pesos.

Nokia N93i Cellphone

Nokia N93i Cellphone

Hey guys! Check this out, an ultimate cellphone you'll need when you travel my country Philippines. You can capture the happiest moments as you enjoy travelling.

The original Nokia N93 is a fantastic phone with one real drawback.. it's a bit of a brick. At 180 grams, the N93 is one of the heaviest and largest phones on the market. So, as a remedy to this Nokia have come up with the N93i which is slimmer and lighter... but only just.

The Nokia N93i weighs 163 grams and measures 108 x 58 x 25mm (compared to the N93 which is 118 x 56 x 28mm). Nokia have also improved the display in the N93i which is now in 16 million colours and has a wider viewing angle.

There's a reason for all this weight though.. as with its predecessor, the N93i is a feature packed digital imaging phone with a very high quality 3.2 megapixel with 3X optical zoom, VGA resolution video capture, TV output, an FM radio, a large 2.4" 240x320 pixel display, multimedia player, miniSD expandable memory, Bluetooth, 3G and WiFi support plus the Symbian S60 operating system. Everything else is pretty much the same as the N93, so we won't dwell on it here.

Nokia say that the talktime on the N93i is 1.7-3.3 hours on 3G, 3.1-3.9 hours on GSM which is significantly less than the N93's quoted 5 hours maximum talktime. Both the N93i and N93 have similar (but not identical) batteries - the N93i comes with the BL-5F 950mAh unit, the N93 has the BP-6M 970mAh one, so perhaps Nokia are being a little more conservative when it comes to the battery life figures. Either way, the N93i will drain the battery pretty quickly, and if using WiFi and Bluetooth, you can expect an even shorter battery life. But.. a bigger battery would mean a heavier phone, and you can see the problem.

The N93i has had a bit of a makeover too.. it's a sleeker, shinier phone than the original version and overall this perhaps makes the N93i look less intimidating than the older, chunkier model.

Nokia say that the N93i will be available during Q1 2007 for an unsubsidised price of around €600/£380 before tax.

Air Traffic Control, how does it keep you safe?

While flying, have you ever wondered how the pilot knows where he is going? Perhaps you felt uneasy as you thought of the dozen or hundreds of airplanes crisscrossing the skies at the same time. How do they keep from colliding?

Such question are natural concerns for travelers. However, statistic show that travel by commercial airline is quite safe, in fact safer the traveling by motorcycle or car. A key factor contributing to its safety is the air traffic control.

Monitoring what the pilot cannot yet see is very important in this age of high-speed air craft. Imagine that two commercial jets are on a head-on course. By the time the pilots spot each other with the naked eye, they may have only second to avoid impact! It is air traffic control's responsibility to prevent that situation from occurring. Long before the pilots see each other, they will have been given instructions to keep them a safe distance apart.

SWEET TREATS

No trip is complete without sampling the town's famous local delicacies. Not one with a sweet tooth, some would usually rather shop for accessories and things for the home when out of town.
However, would you make it a point to buy edible pasalubong for everyone back home to give them a taste of the places you had been. There's more to any city than malls, status, museums, and traffic. Sweets, it seems, is also a universal language. We found these deserts and pasalubong treats made with milk-the most potent arsenal of most desserts

You're missing out on a lot if you haven't had the pleasure of sinking your teeth into a spoonful of Ube Jam . While nothing compares to witnessing your lola and titas make the jam in right in your kitchen, this pre-packed one good and fresh. You'll love its velvety texture and subtle sweetness-we can't blame you if you eat it right out the jar.

Some of the country's best desserts are made right in your neighborhood. Caramel Cake is creamy, melt-in-your-mouth goodness, trapped in the softest layered, caramel-coated cake. Caramel cake are not hard to find, but this one is particularly spacial-not too sweet and not too sticky. You'll get hooked at first bite.

If you're looking for delicious classic Pinoy delicacies, then kakanin in Malabon City will certainly be worth the trip. Their must-try Sapin-sapin is a favorite, even among those who aren't big fans of kakanin. The special ingredients are blended perfectly to create a really balanced, addictive sweetness.

You have the family over for the typical holiday gathering-you spend the day snapping photos with your digital cameras. After you've nailed a card full of image, it's off to the computer room to strut your stuff. The family piles in with everyone trying to peek around shoulders and lean in to get a better look at the image you just called on your computer screen. There's no place sit, the room is hot and stuffy, and you family's enthusiasm level is dropping faster than the price on digital cameras.

THE MAGIC OF CAMERA

My ability to see beauty in what could be monotony to anyone else is what fuels me to keep up with this can of lifestyle. Even on rare vacations, I would still lug the camera along and shoot. "Photography" is one of my life, with a great passion, and I can't help but click away when I see beautiful subjects and situational images.
I begun to shift into professional photography after winning several photo contests, both local and international. I bought a professional camera from my cash winnings. Before, I used to borrow camera from my cousin and friends, so it took me a while to buy a professional cam, from the fruit of my labor I was able to buy my own cam and beginning to reap.
Now, I have more chance to explore the art of photography. As an artist it became easy for me to get the right angle and catch the unique and natural beauty of one object. As years pass by, I can't help but wonder of the fast paced technology, having said that the world of photography is turning into digital photography which means requires more skills into digital photo enhancement. Your subject becomes more extra dramatic when you enhance it through the use of a computer. Using software which you can buy in a cheaper price.
As you enter into photo digital world, there's a lot of experiments and you can immediately see the results which allows you to make adjustments and corrections on the spot. Now, in digital world, it's a worry free for those who don't have enough budget in buying a film because digital cam is a free film camera, using only a memory card you can capture as many subjects as you want depending on the capacity of your memory. You can transfer, delete, and edit with your captured pictures into your computer.
Realizing the speed of technology requires non-stop learning to discover more techniques. Before it was just a hobby now.... It's my life!

STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER

Like the song of popular band Beatles "Strawberry Fields" the pride of La Trinidad Benguet is the mouthwatering freshly sweet picked strawberries. I've already been here before, I've watched the Strawberry festival with the Philippine's president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, as a guest of honor to open the ceremony of the festival. The president sliced the giant Strawberry as a sign of the beginning of their festival followed by the street dancing by the native people of La Trinidad to entertain various tourists who's visiting the town. The people of La Trinidad were so kind, hospitable and heartwarming. Being hospitable, they invited us to visit their Strawberry field and showed plenty of Strawberries to picked and taste. Those yummy strawberries.
La Trinindad Benguet is also known as VEGETABLE BASKET because of variety of fresh vegetables (makes you healthy). I also noticed that 80% of the flower industry are coming from here. So nice and sweet to be here also because of their Strawberry and Ube Jam made from real Strawberries and Ube.

THE HUNGING COFFINS

The enchanted mountain in the cordillera region at an altitude of 1400 meters is one of the most beautiful and visited place. It's refreshingly cool climate makes for a wonderful break from the sticky heat of the lowlands.
Looking back at the past, burial coffins belonging to the Igorots were hung on a prominent cliff face. Many of the more accessible coffins are quiet recent. This is also where Sagada is known for. It is indeed a fascinating experience going into this place.

THE RICE TERRACES

Remembering the days when I was in Baguio,It was cold breezy that night when we where at the fire place talking where will be our next tour, our next tour probably is one of the eight wonders of the world. The RICE TERRACES located at high altitude the main inhabitants of Ifugaos. Ancestors built the mighty rice terraces that still cover so many of the mountainsides in the area around Banaue. On such steep hillsides often the only way to get around, for instance to reach urban, is to follow paths that have been made along the edges of the rice terraces. It's fun and exciting to upclose to the people, specially the Igorots...

CITY OF PINES

The summer capital of the Philippines is the largest city in the Cordillera. Sprawling across steep, rolling hills Baguio nearly 1500 meters (4920 feet) above sea level .Baguio is the first stop for many people starting a tour of the mountains or in search of respite from the lowland heat . Although the downtown area is as crowded and noisy as any Filipino city, especially to the east where the Botanical Garden and Club John Hay can be found, are filled with pine trees , giving the feeling of a town scattered through the forest .Club John Hay , formerly an American military leisure club, is particularly beautiful with rolling parkland and fine mounting views.

VISIT SAN FERNADO LA UNION

The north of Philippines is not as well known for its beaches as some of the more southerly islands, but one popular beach area lies around San Fernando, the capital of La Union province, south of Vigan. There is a good surfing beach to the north of the city at San Jaun but the most popular area lies a few kilometers to the south, at the village of Bauang. Here, a long stretch of sand is lapped by calm seas, and many attractive hotel have been established. Despite being 150 kilometers (93 miles) north of Manila, Bauang is easily accessible from the capitol, and large numbers of Manila residents visit the village at the weekends, using the beach and hotel not only for rest and relaxation but also for parties and special occasion.

Vigan's Colonial Heritage of the North

Established as the capital of the far north in 1572 by Juan de Salcedo, Vigan is today the Philippines' best preserved Spanish houses, from which motor transport has been banned. Here, the horse-drawn calesa remains the main means of getting around, while in the modern part of the city, public transport consists of decorated motorised tricycles. The old district also contains a number of elegant Spanish villas, some of which, including the Villa Agelina are now hotel. These still provide a glimpse of the elegant life of their colonial owners. A range of arts and crafts flourishes in Vigan, including the production of burnay pots, huge storage jars which have been produced in the city for hundreds of years ago.

On the other side of the Lingayen Gulf from the beaches of Alaminos, Pangasinan lies a cluster of small beautiful coralline limestone islands famous know as the "Hundred Islands".Projected as a national recreation area administered by the Philippine Tourism Authority, this is a popular place for visitors, with a well regulated system of outrigger boat hire for island visits and tours that operate out of the nearby mainland village of Lucap. Most of the islands consist of vertical cliffs of limestone, topped by scrubby forest, on which it is impossible to land. Indeed, many have been undercut by the sea; as a result, the smallest islets form attractive "tables" that hang above the surrounding shallow waters.

Why a Good Personality Should Be Your Goal

Read carefully the following reason why a
good personality should be your goal and give
an example or illustration of each one, or
comment on it:
Good personality is a flower that blooms
in the open where all can observe and appreciate it.
By causing people to be interesting and agreeable
to one another, a good personality becomes the basis
of many friendships.
The better phases of human nature find their
natural outlet through a good personality.
In the social group,on the fishing trip,
in the ordinary everyday associations, the man
or boy of good personality gives pleasure to
others and pride to himself.
Your personality is not a fleeting thing.
Much than you learn from book you will 4get;
what you build into your character will remain.
As a factor in business life the importance
of a good personality can scarcely be overestimated.
In securing positions and in gaining promotions it
plays a leading role.......

Try to do better

Try to do better. If we keep this as a rule of
life it will spell the difference between our becoming
a failure or success in the future.
Take Loenardo da Vinci, painter,architect,sculpture
engineer,anatomist,inventor,astronomer,stage designer,
philosopher,writer,actor and entertainer.
He was barely eighteen when he was apprenticed by
his lawyer father, Sir Piero Antonio, to Andrea del
Verrocchio, a painter who gave importance to perspective
in painting. His scientific attitude toward art exerted
a powerful influence on the developing genius of Leonardo.
Everytime Leonardo submitted a sketch to the great
painter, Verrochio would say,"Good but try to do better".
Da Vinci finished painting "the Last Supper," his"most
sublime" painting in 1498.It had taken him a long time to
paint. Aiming at perfection, he did his work slowly
and meticulously, always revising what he had done before,
and never quite satisfied with the results.
