Like the song of popular band Beatles "Strawberry Fields" the pride of La Trinidad Benguet is the mouthwatering freshly sweet picked strawberries. I've already been here before, I've watched the Strawberry festival with the Philippine's president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, as a guest of honor to open the ceremony of the festival. The president sliced the giant Strawberry as a sign of the beginning of their festival followed by the street dancing by the native people of La Trinidad to entertain various tourists who's visiting the town. The people of La Trinidad were so kind, hospitable and heartwarming. Being hospitable, they invited us to visit their Strawberry field and showed plenty of Strawberries to picked and taste. Those yummy strawberries.
La Trinindad Benguet is also known as VEGETABLE BASKET because of variety of fresh vegetables (makes you healthy). I also noticed that 80% of the flower industry are coming from here. So nice and sweet to be here also because of their Strawberry and Ube Jam made from real Strawberries and Ube.
